Visitor Experience & Retail Associate
Role Details:
- Part-time position with variable daily hours.
- Typical schedule: 4–8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, may include evenings.
- Compensation: $18/hour, with additional commission opportunities.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
- Act as a welcoming brand ambassador representing both Vancouver Foodie Tours and Granville Island Delivery Co. with professionalism, warmth, and strong hospitality presence.
- Serve as an in-person expert on all your offerings, confidently explaining tour details, pricing, schedules, and inclusions to potential guests.
- Provide reservation support and on-the-spot bookings through company systems following training.
- Liaise communications to the Sales and Operations teams regarding guest inquiries, booking requests, or complex questions requiring escalation.
- Answer incoming phone calls and general inquiries, providing accurate information or redirecting as appropriate.
- Support weekday tour operations adjustments on site, including relaying updates to guides, schedule changes, or last-minute guest communications.
- Assist with retail sales and POS transactions, including cash handling and basic reconciliation at shift end.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing retail space, restocking merchandise and updating displays as needed.
- Complete administrative and organizational tasks that support the core Monday–Friday team (e.g., spreadsheet updates, basic tracking, filing, inventory counts, preparing materials).
- Observe and communicate guest feedback, recurring questions, or operational issues to the management team in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate strong communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills while working independently during weekend shifts.
- Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and reliability, with the ability to stand for extended periods and engage with high visitor foot traffic.
